Gabriel Lang started playing piano and singing at the age of 7 years old. Eventually his professional training started at the age of 9 years old while attending grade school learning the Drums, Keyboard, and then Saxophone. While learning music in the School system he also played drums for his father’s church at the age of 4 and then moved up to playing keyboard at age 9. In addition to playing for his father’s church Gabriel also played for his parents (Bishop R.A. Lang and Evangelist M.H. Lang) revivals periodically throughout the years.
At the age of 16 Gabriel began directing the National Choir under the tutelage of Bishop M. C. Williams for the S.D. James Mass (& Youth) Mass Choirs for the next 6 years. Gabriel has been responsible for the start and continued success of numerous choirs in his youth which would include Banks School Choir (Middle School Choir), Pike County High Youth Mass Choir (High School Choir), as well as numerous local church choirs in the community he lived.
In 2001 He relocated to Schenectady, New York where he attended NBC City of Praise COGIC and worked diligently in the music dept. writing songs for the NBC Mass Choir and NBC Chorale. While working in the music dept. he and the group were blessed to accompany and open up for many artists such as Dorinda Clark Cole, the late Rev. Timothy Wright, Monique Walker, Pastor A. J. Wright, to name a few.
While in New York he continued his collegiate education by attending Schenectady County Community College where he received his Certificate in Music Education. Also, during this time he began writing many of his original songs that would encompass many of his year’s experience in writing combined with his education.
Relocating again to Temple, TX Gabriel worked with many local groups, choirs, churches, and Artists, which would include his former Community Choir, Chosen Generation Chorale. Gabriel is now the Praise & Worship Leader/Music Director for New Destiny Church in Killeen, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Draper Smith.
De’Angela was born in DeQueen, Arkansas and raised in Texarkana, Texas. She relocated from Texarkana to Killeen, TX in late 2006 to be closer to family and later met and married her husband Gabriel R. Lang. She became a dedicated member of New Destiny Church under the leadership of Pastor Draper Smith in the fall of 2010.
Whereas De’Angela professionally works as a Store Manager for a new pilot restaurant franchise within The Fikes Corporation, she is called to be an Evangelist and is currently embarking on a place in God where she can be an instrument for God’s Glory to touch lives on a daily basis wherever she is and may go.
De’Angela is currently serving with her husband, Gabriel R. Lang, as one of the worship leaders at New Destiny Church of Killeen, TX and has served at numerous other ministries, including her father’s church (Trinity Temple COGIC), as a worship leader and choir director. She is looking forward to where God is taking her church ministry and music department.
